Take action: We’ve submitted an e-petition calling on the federal government to pass a biomass investment tax credit in the next budget. We’re asking Canadian Citizens to consider signing the e-petition so Parliament will pass a biomass tax credit in the fall budget. This tax credit will incentivize the purchase of low-carbon biomass energy equipment. Why should you sign? Forest biomass — the leftover material from logging and sawmill operations — can be transformed into renewable, low-carbon energy. By using this forest waste productively, we help reduce wildfire risks, promote sustainable forest management, and create good jobs in rural and remote communities across Canada.
