Read the Woodlots Weekly for updates from woodlots across BC. As of noon, August 11, 2026, there are 7 woodlots with wildfires burning, all in the Southern Interior of the province. They are located on three different fires: Pear Lake Fire (Clinton/ Meadow Lake), French Bar Creek, and the Bald Range (Summerland) fire. There are 5 other woodlots that are within 5 kms of other wildfires. The record drought conditions is an indicator that these fires will be burning for the coming weeks. The BC Wildfire Service updates their website daily and sometimes hourly for the Wildfires of Note.
