As you are all well aware, reorganization efforts have been underway since USDA announced its plans in March. Today, I am pleased to announce the first wave of senior executives who will serve in key leadership roles under this new alignment. This lays the foundation for a streamlined national leadership team and forthcoming state director announcements. Right now, we are fully focused on supporting firefighters, communities and interagency partners during ongoing wildfire operations. As such, although we are announcing these positions today, leaders will move to their new roles later this fall. These selections are a major step forward in our reorganization. With our new headquarters in Salt Lake, this new organizational model will deliver faster decisions, clearer priories and deeper community connection. …I know you are all anxious to hear about the state offices and state directors. I expect to make those announcements in the coming weeks.
