Build Your Own Future (BYOF) is a fully funded business startup program delivered by Northern Innovation Network for eligible individuals whose employment or livelihood has been affected by the forestry downturn, mill closures or curtailments, or tariffs. The program combines foundational business training, one-on-one coaching and mentorship, seven capacity-building workshops, and access to up to $5,000 in reimbursement funding for eligible business expenses. Participants can complete our 5-Day Foundational Business Bootcamp either in person or virtually, and the program is designed to support individuals who want to move from employment into self-employment by starting a contracting or service-based business.
