AURORA, ON — Eco Guardian Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of sustainable foodservice packaging, today confirmed that its Aurora, Ontario facility is fully operational and producing paper cups and bowls for national quick-service restaurants and coffee chain operators, foodservice distributors and retailers of every size. As Canada’s retaliatory tariffs on U.S.-origin goods — including pulp and paper — take effect September 8th, and a separate CBSA dumping investigation targets China-origin paperboard cups, Eco Guardian’s Aurora, Ontario facility is manufacturing cups, bowls and custom-printed packaging from raw material sourced entirely outside the United States — placing its output outside the scope of both the September 8 counter tariffs and the CBSA investigation. …The facility is built with capacity to produce more than 1 billion cups a year — scale that means a national program isn’t choosing between “Canadian-made” and “large enough to matter.”
