Ottawa, ON and Washington, D.C. – The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) is pleased to announce Matthew Reddy as the next Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. “On behalf of the SFI Board of Directors, I have the pleasure of announcing Matthew Reddy in the role of CEO of SFI. Matthew’s global perspective and executive leadership experience have prepared him to lead SFI into its next chapter. He brings deep knowledge of the forestry sector and a strong understanding of global investment landscapes, developed through his work at the intersection of sustainability, conservation, business, and finance,” said Dan Lambe, CEO of the Arbor Day Foundation and Chair of the SFI Board of Directors. Matthew brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience spanning sustainable forestry, conservation, climate and biodiversity initiatives, commodity certification systems, and public-private partnerships.
