National Association of Home Builders CEO says no matter who wins, the impact on lumber prices might be a wash (although builder confidence could be affected). In other Business news: FPAC says Canada’s forest sector is key to the country’s economic recovery; and Louisiana Pacific reports strong Q3 results.

In Forestry/Climate news: two Quebec forestry companies are in contravention of the Species at Risk Act; Parks Canada considers a breeding program for Jasper caribou; David Suzuki on what we lose if the caribou disapear; and the difference between forestry and soil carbon offsets.
