The Planning and Development category features developments that use green building technologies and innovative environmental features. BCIT’s Tall Timber Student Housing Building, used innovative mass timber technology, and prefabrication to meet the highest level of the BC Energy Step Code. As the first large mass-timber building in Burnaby we were grateful that the City supported this vision and we hope it can be an example of the kind of innovation that can be achieved.”
