The Associate Certificate in Industrial Wood Processing (IWP) is designed to prepare program graduates with the knowledge, critical thinking, and technical skills to advance to supervisory positions within their current organizations in the North American lumber sector. The program is a valuable component of an onboarding strategy for new employees without a background in industrial wood processing, as well as for any employee wanting to enhance their education and knowledge in the field. The program started in January 2018 and has had over 600 students enrolled.
Upcoming intakes: June 2025
The Associate Certificate in Business of Sawmilling (BOS) is designed to provide employees with the essential business skills to enable them to seek advancement or greater opportunity as supervisors within their current organization. The program curriculum will include case-based and problem-based learning opportunities delivered by lumber industry and business experts to students which simulate real-world challenges, enabling students to apply their learning in meaningful and creative ways. The program started in October 2020 and has had over 230 students enrolled.
